How much to get a duplicate Land Rover Freelander key fob?

Hello, I will be buying a Land Rover Freelander over the next couple of days ... the one I am looking to buy only has one key, and I will want to get a spare made up ....

How much do you think this will roughly cost, and can this only be done from the main dealership?|||You are looking at $70-$140|||a new remote will cost 拢110 inc coding and yes you will have to go to a dealer . ex rover tech .|||Depends how old it is, if it's non transponder key it will cost about 拢5, loads more if its newer and has a transponder immobiliser.

Fobs are not that cheap but you can get a used one programmed to your car at rover dealer or look for locksmith that does coding in the yellow pages.

Edit:

It doesn't HAVE to be a dealer. Depends how much you want to spend.

When i had a unit at weson super mare we used to get a guy in from Clevedon who would programme the fobs to the vehicle for 拢35, fobs used to come from scrap yard so for 拢40 you can have it sorted if you if you phone around.|||From Land Rover about 拢60.00

Ja.|||ebay man|||I had to get one a couple of weeks ago (in Ireland) the key fob cost 鈧?0 but it cost 鈧?20 to get it coded by a main dealer.
