How do yo fix a Land Rover discovery that cranks but has no spark?

My 1996 Land Rover Discovery I series cranks over buy has no spark. I have checked everything I know about and still no spark. The alarm was going off a few months ago but no longer is going off. What is the problem?|||check the coil(s) and wires(plug) if those show good then check to see if you're getting voltage to the coil. if all is good then start looking at all components that affect the ignition. i.e. modules,pick up coils,etc.
