The cd player has the following wires yellow red black orange/white blue/white brown the cars wires are as follows black=ground green/white=ignition purple=battery red/black=dimmers pink/white=? this is only going on what i have read on a rover forum, i have tried connecting the cd players yellow to the cars grren/white and red to the cars purple and this is all i know the cd player dosnt power on, would it make a difference if all the others are connected speakers etc.As im gone through bout 3 fuses now with no luck.any help would be great.thanks.|||Kenwood wiring: Yellow permanent live, red ignition live, black earth, blue white is an output for an electric aerial I'm not sure about the orange white. The brown is for mute if connected to a carphone|||what u need is a wire harness which will plug into the CD player and it will connect to

rover

had the same prob myself the rover harness is not compatible got 1 from halfords for 拢8 quid|||if you have got an instruction manual for your cd player there is a wiring diagram in there which tells you what wires do what. on the raido side. if you cant find it let me know and i will fish mine out and tell you!!!|||Go to the Kenwood site for customer service contact information. Someone can probably send you a schematic or give you detailed instructions. Otherwise, they can refer you to someone in your area that can help you. Good luck.

Next, i'd hope they'd have a harness that converts the vehicle's stock harness to a kenwood. If that doesn't work, get a tester to verify what wires(your vehicle), you are connecting to the head unit. One word of advice, don't connect a +12v on any of the wires that don't have a solid color yet, mainly because those wires are more likely accesories or features. At leased not yet. And one more thing, you said you blew about 3 fuses, um install it on to another car to see if it still works. Hope you have it installed.|||ask him where he works then give him a lift damn decent of you to car share
